I went to Nam with E Co. 704 Maint. Bn. 4th Inft. Div in Oct. 1966 and was transferred to A Co. 4th Avn Bn. in Feb. 1967. I was a crewchief on a slick until I left Nam in Sept. 1967. Most of our operatins was in the Ia Drang Valley along the Cambodian border. The base camp was Camp Enarie, just south of Pleiku.

Admin reply: Welcome Home Clyde! Thanks for signing our guestbook, it's always nice to hear from a Canadian born Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. If you ever make it down to Manitoba, drop us a line!

I served in Viet Nam in 1968-69,and returned to the states to become a DI at Fort Lewis WA. I was amazed at the number of Canadians that crossed the border to join the U.S.Army,and serve beside us in the war.
I am so proud of this Wall to Honor our Brothers in Arms.I thank you for the great work you have done to bring the long over due Honor to our Brave Comrades.Thank you and welcome Home.

Admin reply: Hi Steve, Welcome Home! and thank you so much for signing our guestbook. Many of us Canadians served in the US Armed Forces fighting in Vietnam against communist aggression.

Some of us took basic training in Fort Lewis, WA and I for one was in the 1st PLT. A CO. 4th BN. 1st BDE and graduated in May 1969. My DI, SSG.Collin(s) was a Vietnam veteran like you and a Purple Heart recipient, wounded in the right arm. Sure would love to thank that man for the training he gave me in order to stay alive in Nam.

Keep in touch Steve, as it was nice to hear from a Vietnam veteran and former DI from Fort Lewis, WA!

Paul Dufault
