Marker & Headstone Dedication - July 25, 2009  Emo, Ontario, Canada

CPL Ivan Clifford Broeffle was killed in action while serving with the US Army in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam at the age of 21. Ivan had not had a marker all of this time, but this year the US Department of Veterans Affairs sent a bronze marker and the dedication was held at 1:00 PM on July 25, 2009 in Emo, Ontario, Canada.

In attendance were the family and friends of Ivan, the Canadian Vietnam Veterans Association of Manitoba, the Minnesota Patriot Guard, the White Earth Veterans Association of Minnesota, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 of Fort Frances, the 1CAV (Canadian Army Veterans), and the Vietnam Veterans in Canada.

We would like to acknowledge the Fort Frances Royal Canadian Legion for their warm hospitality and luncheon after the dedication service.
